If your project appears to be a good fit for GoCo after we talk, we’ll schedule the next step, Your Site Assessment.
Your consultant or designer will meet in your home to discuss the details of your project. At this meeting, we want to learn about your material preferences, your likes and dislikes, and your investment range. We’ll also take some detailed measurements, inspect the current site conditions and answer any questions you may have.
Our primary goal during this meeting is to come away with a complete understanding of your needs and expectations. After the site assessment is complete, we’ll start working on your design and proposal.
When your proposal is complete, we’ll contact you to review the details. If the project is a design project, we’ll schedule a time to review the drawings and suggested product selections with you in person.
At this stage, we encourage you to compare our proposal with other licensed contractors. Please take some time to investigate your options, check our references, and make sure you feel confident before choosing GoCo as your remodeling contractor.
When you’re ready to move forward, we’ll order the materials, arrange for delivery and schedule your installation.
A dedicated Project Manager and installation team will be assigned to complete your project.
Once we begin your project, your installation team is dedicated to finishing with as little intrusion on your household as possible.
During your installation:
We’ll work within your schedule during normal business hours.
We’ll use padding and protection methods to protect your walkways, floors and walls.
Provide you with copies of our general liability and worker’s compensation insurance documents prior to beginning your installation. GoCo maintains a $1,000,000.00 general liability insurance policy, and Indiana Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
Provide you with copies of our current Contractor registrations and licenses. Our bonds are recorded with Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties.
We won’t use tobacco products in your home or anywhere on your property.
We won’t use your bathroom without your permission.
We’ll make sure your water and electricity will be shut off for the shortest time possible.
We’ll haul away any debris from your home, or arrange for a dumpster.
When the job is complete, we’ll leave your home broom-clean.
We’ll schedule a final walk-through so that we can thoroughly review all aspects of your project.
*We will present you with change orders prior to performing any additional beyond the scope of the original contract.
*Regarding change orders; GoCo will not submit low estimates in order to be awarded your project and then present you with numerous change orders after construction begins. We’ll do our best to give you a fair bid for all the work that we can physically see during your site assessment. After construction begins, change orders will only be used if additional work needs to be done due to unforeseen circumstances, to adhere to local building codes, to accommodate a design change, or to add additional services at your request.
